Founded in 1949 by B. W. Phelan, Phelan Insurance Agency, Inc. is conveniently located in West Central Ohio, equidistant from Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Columbus and Toledo.
In 1962 James B. Phelan purchased the agency and began growing the business throughout Western Ohio. The agency expanded with specialized programs and also developed offices covering an even larger geographic area in the 1980s and 1990s.
Phelan centralized its operation in 2000 into one location to take advantage of technology advances to enhance customer service. From its “State of the Art” headquarters, Phelan Insurance focuses on providing quality insurance, risk management, consulting and employee benefit solutions.
In business now more than 55 years, Phelan Insurance provides a variety of insurance and risk reduction products for individual and corporate residents of Ohio and neighboring Midwestern states.
Phelan Insurance is owned and managed by its Chief Executive Officer Jim Phelan, President Tim Grow, Chief Operating Officer Brent Phelan, and partner/owners Ron Stauffer, Mick McClurg, Pat Custenborder and Todd Phelan. It is well positioned for the future to remain an independently owned agency answering only to its insureds.
